À l'aide d'un drone d'imagerie thermique et LiDAR, des études seront menées pour identifier les zones qui constituent des refuges en eau froide et donc essentielles pour répondre aux besoins des saumons de l'IBof lorsque la température de l'eau peut dépasser 20 °C. De même, des études par drone permettront d'identifier les eaux qui bénéficieraient de l'ajout de refuges d'eau froide, ce qui pourrait favoriser la persistance du saumon de l'IBof, car les influences du changement climatique auront probablement un impact sur les caractéristiques générales de l'eau. Compte tenu des capacités de l'imagerie thermique et LiDAR, nous pensons que cela permettra d'identifier les zones où le ruissellement industriel (principalement agricole et/ou forestier) peut avoir un impact négatif sur la qualité de l'eau là où les saumons de l'IBOF sont présents, mais également pour l'anguille d'Amérique pour laquelle la contamination chimique n'est pas entièrement
