Slocum glider data were collected during a southern Lake Michigan deployment from 2019-09-10 through 2018-10-18. The glider initially deployed from Benton Harbor, MI and traveled northwest to buoy 45007. Near buoy 45007 there is a co-located vertical temperature mooring maintained by NOAA Great Lakes Environmental Research Laboratory. The glider continued northwest to Milwaukee, WI. Next, the glider transverse the lake west, to a station at 110 m water depth, near Muskegon, MI. This transect was repeated several times before crossing the lake west to Milwaukee, WI, a second time. Afterward, the glider traveled southeast to buoy 45007 for a pass before returning to Muskegon, MI to repeat the station 110 transect. After that transect was repeated a number of times the glider was finally retrieved. Note, the glider was deployed in areas of Lake Michigan with at least 30 m of depth. The glider collected vertical profiles of conductivity, temperature, depth, chlorophyll, colored dissolved organic matter (CDOM), backscatter, and photosynthetically active radiation (PAR) between depths of 0 and 130 m.
