Wave gliders are small solar powered platforms that harness wave energy to move horizontally on the sea surface. They can be deployed for days to several months collecting and transmitting ocean and atmospheric data. The Wave glider was designed and built by Liquid Robotics, Sunnyvale, CA, USA.
