Whole-genome bisulfite sequencing of Porites rus living in contrasted environments of La Reunion for the DIVEPICOR project, 2021
The objective of this study was to document the genetic and epigenetic diversity among natural colonies of Porites rus along the coral reefs of La Reunion Island. Sampling was conducted along the west coast of La Reunion. Two locations were selected and for each location, two sites were chosen to represent contrasting habitats: the reef flat (with a depth of less than one meter) and the outer reef slope (ranging from 7.4 to 16.2 meters in depth). In total, 4 sites were sampled: La Saline reef flat (SAI), La Saline outer slope (SAE), Saint-Pierre reef flat (SPI), and Saint-Pierre outer slope (SPE). Five colonies per site were sequenced by Whole Genome Bisulfite sequencing at 30X depth.
