Bay of Biscay Wave L2 KuROS data during SUMOS campaign

This dataset is relative to the measurements collected by the airborne radar instrument KuROS (Ku-band Radar for Observation of Surfaces) installed onboard by the ATR-42 research aircraft, which carried out 17 flights during the SUMOS campaign. This campaign was designed to collect a set of co-located sea-surface observations by both in situ (drifting buoys, research vessel) and radar remote sensing (CFOSAT satellite, aircraft) means. This data set includes

• Level-2 products which contain the directional spectra of ocean waves estimated from the Level 1 KuROS data (see Caudal et al.,(2014) https://doi.org/10.1175/JTECH-D-14-00013.1) and the normalized radar cross-section mean values as a function of incidence angle.
