Bay of Biscay L1 KuROS data during SUMOS campaign
This dataset is relative to the measurements collected by the airborne radar instrument KuROS (Ku-band Radar for Observation of Surfaces) installed onboard by the ATR-42 research aircraft, which carried out 17 flights during the SUMOS campaign. This campaign was designed to collect a set of co-located sea-surface observations by both in situ (drifting buoys, research vessel) and radar remote sensing (CFOSAT satellite, aircraft) means. This data set includes
- Level 1 products which contain the Ku-Band normalized radar cross-section of the ocean surface for incidence angles between approximatively 6° and 20° and all azimuthal directions, and the associated phase of the radar signal, following the original sampling of the radar (~ 1.5m range resolution).
