Restoring Coastal Habitats in Anse-aux-Iroquois, Rivière-Ouelle (2019-2021)

The Comité ZIP du Sud-de-l'Estuaire team, in collaboration with Fisheries and Oceans Canada, carried out the characterization and a restoration project in Anse-aux-Iroquois as part of a project (Coastal Restoration Fund: CRF) for the restoration of fish habitat.

In order to limit the phenomenon of erosion and to improve the environmental resilience, a project was carried out to transplant alterniflora to the marsh of Spartan alterniflora, to reprofile the bank and to plant native plants on the shore in order to stabilize it, which represents an area of 2,066 m² of restored fish habitats.
