The Port Sheldon buoy(45029) is located in Lake Michigan between Grand Haven and Holland. This buoy is owned and maintained by LimnoTech and is funded by contributions from local organizations, businesses and individuals. The buoy measures meteorological and water surface conditions like wind speed and direction, air and water temperature, relative humidity, wave direction, height and perio . The data is logged internally as well as transmitted in ten minute intervals to the internet via cellular modem.
