Balchik meteo site-Year2019

The observing meteorological site Balchick is part of system for monitoring the parameters of the marine environment in the port areas and bays along the Bulgarian Black Sea coast developed under a contract between the Maritime Administration Executive Agency (MARAD) and Institute of Oceanology (IO-BAS). The technical design complies with the requirements of the one provided by MARAD terms regarding: safety of navigation in the sea and inland waterways of the Republic of Bulgaria; traffic control in the canals, ports of the Republic of Bulgaria and others, designated areas; monitoring the navigation environment, ensuring the safety of shipping.
