Annual Monitoring of Invasive Alien Plant Species (IAPS) on the Territory of the *Comité ZIP du Sud-de-l'Estuaire* (ZIPSE)

Annual inventories (2015-2023) of invasive alien plant species, such as Japanese knotweed and common reed, on the territory of the Comité ZIPSE. The monitoring is funded by the Ministère de l'Environnement, de la Lutte contre les changements climatiques, de la Faune et des Parcs (MELCCFP) as part of the network for monitoring invasive exotic plants in wetlands. For this project, the territory of the ZIPSE Committee is divided into 3 zones. As one of these areas is inventoried every year, each zone is inventoried every 3 years (triennial follow-up). Starting with the 2017 report, we started using high-precision GPS (DGPS) to map IAPSs. From 2020 we also used a drone (DJI Mavic 2 Pro) in order to have aerial images of the inventory area when possible. This allowed us to better map certain areas where access on foot was difficult and to greatly improve the accuracy and detection of IAPSs.
